Connecting WooCommerce Headless Commerce

Jewellic is engineered as a decoupled storefront. Your high-performance, quiet-luxury customer experience runs on Next.js, while products, inventory, orders, Pan-India shipping, and order tracking are managed 100% through your self-hosted WooCommerce backend—eliminating costly Shopify subscriptions.

1Install WordPress + WooCommerce on Hostinger (Zero Extra Monthly Subscription)

Log into your Hostinger hPanel and go to Websites → Auto Installer → WordPress. Install WordPress on a dedicated backend subdomain such as manage.jewellic.com.

In WordPress Admin (Plugins → Add New):
  • Install WooCommerce (Official free open-source plugin).
  • Install Razorpay for WooCommerce (or Cashfree / PhonePe) for seamless UPI and cards.
  • Under WooCommerce → Settings → General, set currency to Indian Rupee (INR - ₹).
2Generate WooCommerce REST API Keys

In your WordPress Admin, navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API:

  1. Click Add key.
  2. Description: Enter Jewellic Headless Storefront.
  3. Permissions: Select Read/Write.
  4. Click Generate API key.
  5. Copy your Consumer Key (ck_...) and Consumer Secret (cs_...).
3Configure Vercel Hosting Environment Variables

Add the following environment variables to your hosting dashboard (Vercel → Settings → Environment Variables) or local .env.local:

4Configure Pan-India Shipping & Shipment Tracking

In WordPress Admin → WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Shipping Zones:

  • Zone Name: India → Zone Regions: India.
  • Add Shipping Method: Free Shipping (Minimum order amount: ₹10,000).
  • Add Shipping Method: Flat Rate (e.g. ₹250 for orders below ₹10,000).

For order tracking, install our lightweight drop-in plugin (jewellic-shipment-tracking.php) in WordPress under wp-content/plugins/. When fulfilling orders in WooCommerce, enter the carrier (BlueDart, Sequel, etc.) and AWB tracking number. Your customers can instantly track their delivery on your /track-order page!
